LogicStar AI is a well-funded Swiss startup, affiliated with the ETH Zurich AI Center and INSAIT, pioneering self-healing software that enables AI agents to autonomously detect and fix errors in code, increasing developer productivity, reducing downtime, and improving system reliability.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team building and deploying cutting-edge LLM solutions for software engineering tasks. This is a hybrid role that combines core engineering work with direct customer engagement—you will build the product and ensure it delights our users. You will work closely with the founders, team members, and early adopters to shape our products. This is a very hands-on role where you will develop internal systems, ship customer-facing features, and work directly with customers to implement and customize our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:

• Work directly with customers to understand their technical environments, workflows, and pain points.
• Lead customer implementations by configuring, integrating, and customizing LogicStar solutions to fit their specific needs.
• Act as the voice of the customer internally, translating feedback into actionable product improvements and feature requests.

Internal Systems & Product Development:

• Build and maintain internal systems and tooling that enable the team to move fast and ship quality products.
• Design the architecture of scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Write code for critical LogicStar components and conduct code reviews for peers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and prioritize technical requirements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.

Mandatory qualifications:

Technical skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, interest in exploring and developing AI developer tools.
• Experience designing and developing SaaS applications.
• Experience with Python.

Personality:

• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Hands-on and happy to build.

Communication:

• Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with customers.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills:

• JavaScript/TypeScript familiarity
• Experience building developer tools
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker) or MLOps frameworks
• An AI native development mindset and experience e.g. working with AI Agents, and the wide range of new AI for code tools
